I started two web pages in 2016 after moving to Texas. I had done others before, as well as some blogs. Due to circumstanes I could not keep them up, so I let them run out of time. Then I let them go after a few remarks.
The surprise today was there are still there, but inactive for any update.
At ninety-five (95) years of age, I have no business trying to keep a web page up. However, I had written some posts that I never posted. So, taking my pen (or rather my credit card) in hand, I activated the pages just for the heck of it. When you are my age, you can question that decision, but until then, consider it an Executive Order. It is in effect until my house and senate repeal it, which they might, so enjoy while you can.
I will leave what I wrote earlier in place, although there are changes. Gee Whiz. I only have so much time left, and I do not want to waste it on changes. Maybe I will even have some fun doing it, regardless of who reads any of it.
I wrote some of this ten years ago, and during that time, so much has changed in technology, genealogy and our culture.
I will post this on both web pages. www.leurigfamily.com and www.leuriglibrary.com.
I will continue to send my “four score and fifteen” blog to most of you. That blog will be repeated on the leuriglibrary. The parts I want to keep for a long time, I have stored on forever.com.
The photo at the top of this web page is from my 75th birthday, twenty years ago. Our daughter Kathy has gone home, but the rest of us have not aged (unless you look at a more recent photo).
